Sending files

Two ways to get them to us.

Option 1 · Email

Email your artwork

Send straight to orders@vpilv.com. Include the job name, quantity and deadline. Ask the shop how to send larger files if an attachment cannot be delivered.

Compose email
Option 2 · Cloud link

Share a file link

Send a Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer, or OneDrive link to orders@vpilv.com. Share access with the shop and confirm that the files can be opened.

For large or protected files, contact the shop to agree a transfer method and access details.

Common gotchas

File checks before production.

01

Colour profiles

Tell the shop about critical brand colours and supply colour references. Confirm the required profile before converting images; do not repeatedly convert between RGB and CMYK.

02

Image resolution

Resolution is evaluated at final printed size. Fine detail viewed close up may need more pixels than a distant banner. Send the highest-quality original and ask for a target for the job.

03

Bleed and safe area

Use the template for the finished product. Bleed extends backgrounds beyond the trim; safe margins keep important content clear of cutting, folds and fittings. Allowances vary with the product.

04

Fonts and linked images

Embed fonts in the PDF where licensing permits. For native files, confirm how to provide fonts and linked images; keep an editable original if outlining is requested.

05

Transparency and PDF export

Ask which PDF preset the shop needs. PDF/X-4 can retain live transparency; some workflows require flattening. Check the exported file rather than flattening every job by default.

06

Spot colours and proofs

Name required spot colours and identify any existing sample to match. Confirm whether the job will use spot ink or a process simulation and agree a proof where colour matters.

When in doubt
